A half million words in one year? For some authors this is a cake walk, for others this is impossible. For me? I don't know yet, but I plan to write a half million words, the first draft of books 1-5 -- Maybe even all 6 books of the series! -- in one year. This will not include editing, just the first draft.

It's an average of 1370 words a day. Not as intense as NaNoWriMo, but pretty darn close. Days off could either be non-existant or earned by mad sprinting and passing the daily goal by doubling it, tripling it, or more. With about 65 days off that would be and average of 1,667 words a day. Still very doable.

I've never tracked my word count for a year before, so this will be an intense year of writing for me.
